The Jewish cemetery in Głogówek was established before 1821. In 1943 the cemetery was taken over by the Gestapo. The cemetery came out well from the war period, unfortunately in 1976 local stonemasons robbed numerous black marble tombstones.
Currently, the area of 0.37 ha is fenced with wall relics. About 65 sandstone and limestone tombstones have been preserved in the cemetery.
The inscriptions in Hebrew and German are slowly fading away and are already difficult to read in many cases.
The cemetery is said to be the burial place for members of the family of John Kerry, who ran for the presidency of the United States in 2004.
